What the heck are the dog days of summer anyway? The phrase is actually a reference to the fact that, during this time, the Sun occupies the same region of the sky as Sirius, the brightest star visible from any part of Earth and part of the constellation Canis Major, the Greater Dog. This is why Sirius is sometimes called the Dog Star. Official calendar days for the un-astronomical amongst us are July 3 until August 11

Members who complete QuiltCon registration prior to December 1, 2021 receive a four-day quilt show pass at no additional cost.
