October is Here!!

Our October BOM is up on the website, under (oddly enough) BOM. Julie Arthur did the lovely sample block below. We are hoping to get a minimum of 12 blocks and you can contact Karen Stevens through guild email or IM/Fbook messenger for pickup/meet up/block collection.

Breast Cancer Compression Pillows

This is an ongoing guild project. These are donated for mastectomy patients to use after surgery. The current estimated need is 30 per month. Roxann C, Trisha T and community member Karla H all contributed pillows and Roxann was able to deliver another 54 to our “favorite surgeon’s” office. If you would like to make some, the directions for these pillows are on the TMQG website, under Resources-Community Service. Great for using up scraps!

Camp Burton Retreat—Some Changes to Note

Once again, we will be staying at Camp Burton on Vashon Island, Friday through Sunday morning. We will be offering 11 rooms as singles. If you have a buddy and want to double up, we will have 1 room available for double occupancy. Retreat is capped at 14.

You must be vaccinated for Covid 19 and be 14 days past your J & J vaccine or 14 days past your 2nd shot on the other two choices.

Cost*:
Double Occupancy is $190 each person (only 1 room available)
Single Occupancy is $235
*Plus PayPal fees is applicable

Provided meals include: Dinner Friday, Breakfast and Dinner Saturday, and Breakfast Sunday.
