April 8th Sew-In: Reusable Market Tote

Tacoma is going bagless soon, so on April 8th there will be a Sew-In where members will be making a Reusable Market Tote by Bijou Lovely, taught by Christie Lewis!  In order to attend, please RSVP via email (tacomamqg@gmail.com), as there is limited space available.

Here are the details for the Sew-In...

  • Date:  April 8, 2017
  • Location:  400 E 56th St, Tacoma 98404

Supplies to bring:
Sewing machine & basic sewing tools
Pre-washed, pre-cut, ironed fabric (cutting details will be sent when you RSVP)
- 1-yard main outer fabric
- 1-yard base & lining fabric
- 4-yards lightweight interfacing (I used Pellon JAS Val-U-Fuse 44FPKG10 which is available at JoAnns)
- Matching thread
- Contrasting thread for topstitching

If you don't want to make the bag, you are welcome to come and bring some hand sewing and just hang out with us!  Space is limited to approx 12 machines, but there will be lots of chairs if you'd like to come, visit and hand sew!

Remember, you must RSVP to participate in making the bag; however, if you are joining us for some hand sewing and visiting, RSVP is not needed.

Happy Sewing!!
